"The more skills the merrier" is the reason Anet is changing their stance on skills in GW2, and are being drastically reduced. More skills tend to cause more problems, and the fact that we have an overabundance of underused or unused skills just adds to the pile.

They could add skills, but really what could they add that wouldn't unbalance or just not be used?

It seems to me that a solution to the infusion issue is already here, just not utalized. Zimm. Zimm is doing research on the seer, (probably volentary) most likley to be able to mass produce the infusion process. He has a lab that is explorable. Use that. Of course I'm no developer and what seem s simple to me, may be impossible.

Yeah, I guess some people are concerned that it means another title that they have to max out, but the majority of people aren't so anal about maxing the titles out.

I'm just saying that WIK seems to be an attempt to keep the prophecies campaign relevant, which, without campaign stuff like this.. it's all outdated and left in the dust.

PVE titles/skills and making stuff inscribible would be more steps to keep it relevent. Making Deldrimmor crafted weapons (they're about on par with destroyer weapons in cost) be able to be put in HoM would be another step.

Most people skip as much of the proph campaign as possible these days. Ascalon born characters run to LA, then run to sanctum, and just do the desert and on, usually skipping ice caves, if they bother past getting all their attribute points and ascension. Non ascalonian characters get a run from droks, and just do southern shiverpeaks and on, unless they want to be able to do tombs. It's skipped because the content is irrelevant unless you're doing it for the first time for the story. Unless you're one of the people who wants to max out guardian/protector/cartographer/vanquisher titles. But since those titles give no actual benefit, aside from contributing to another title that's in game benefits (rainbow phoenix) are minimal. But that's a minority of people who go after GWAMM.

Factions is still relevant (at least once out of Kaineng city and into the Kurzick/Luxon areas) for gaining faction, which contributes to owning cities and pve skills. Nightfall is still relevant because of SS/LB skills/rank, and an elite mission at the end. So by adding a faction or pve title/skills to proph, it would make it worthwhile to do all the missions in the campaign again.

Things have really picked up reward wise. The riverside assassination with its 5 royal gifts and medal of honor is nothing to sneeze at. Looking forward to seeing how this all plays out.

This. I have only been playing for about 1-1/2 years, and this describes me. I hated Prophecies. I usually play Nightfall or EotN. Just recently got to the Lux/Kurz areas of Factions. As such, I am way behind the curve on just about everything. I only have 1 character out of EotN that is able to do WiK, and not having infused stuff makes some of it difficult (very casual player; definitely not an "optimizer"). Would love to PuG some of WiK, but just about everyone wants to do HM, so I don't have any luck there.

Still, I like the new content and hope it continues. But getting rewards for WiK has been more difficult for me having only one character available to obtain them; nerfing some of the rewards limits me but I understand how some quickly "abused" the early Falkan runs (and I wish I had done more at the time, darnit!).

Just my $0.02

In all honesty, it sounds like you have plenty of content from Factions and Tyria you haven't played through yet, so does it matter than you can't play WiK? You don't even know what happens to Shiro. It sounds like you skipped the Shining Blade plot from the Prophecies campaign which is a precursor to the WiK.

True enough, and that's why I'm not (hopefully) complaining really about WiK. To me, it's new like it is to everyone else, so I feel that I'm not behind everyone else.

Also, with the demise of PuGs, it is a slower grind for me H/H. Most times I find that the few PuGs around are all HM for which I don't qualify. As I said (I think?) I'm a very casual gamer, so for me to get from mission to mission is not something I always have time to do on my own. Still, I enjoy playing around.

I think the daily bounties really aren't the "primary" way that we're supposed to be earning whatever they consider "enough" war supplies for medals / gifts. The Inquisitor and other "big boss" quests look like they handle that job. The daily bounties are really more for kicks and extra war supplies for those who want 'em, imo.

If that's the case then it's totally stupid.

Go Kill Lawhoever out in NKP for 30 supplies, and right outside the settlement is good old Len who has a fair sized group. Lawhoever is worth 30 and len?....a whopping 3+1 in HM. Yeah that's really balanced as it takes the same amount of effort to get to Len as it did to the other person. The only difference was there wasn't a jade cloak popup at Len...yet.

The quest yesterday (Daily) was an ok 7+3 for 10 supplies and that was ok, not great but not terrible. 3+1 is terrible and very very laughable. Hell you can escort Falkey for 3 in NM far faster then getting out to some of these bounty people.

WiK bounties seem to be balanced to me.

*shrug* you get better rewards for missions, generally, than for random side quests. I view the three Inquisitor quests as the ones that everyone is "supposed" to do, at the least, which makes them like primary quests. The others are side quests.
